We are seeking a Social Media Manager who values “doing the right thing,” is action-oriented, and who has an insatiable appetite for learning. Digital marketing and social media management are ever-evolving. Algorithms are always changing. Navigating the world of online marketing can be overwhelming, so it is our opportunity to simplify the process for our clients by providing the insight, expertise, and tools to refine their brand voice and broaden their reach.

How to Apply:

If you are interested in joining the Chippy team as a Social Media Manager, please submit your cover letter and resume via email to careers@heychippy.com. We invite you to use your cover letter as an opportunity to demonstrate your professionalism, ability to articulate yourself clearly and concisely, and express what experience(s) make you a great fit for this role.

As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • being the main point of contact for the day-to-day operations with client(s).

  • working with client(s) and our internal team to craft results-driven strategic social media strategies.

  • collaborating with client(s) and our internal team to design, write copy, and produce visual and written content across various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).

  • reinforcing our client(s) brand image and voice by actively managing inbound communications and proactively interacting with industry leaders, partners, affiliates, and followers to strengthen business relationships.

  • vigilantly tracking, analyzing, and reporting on meaningful KPIs to client(s).

  • proactively maintaining and building client relationships by identifying growth opportunities, recognizing competitive gaps, and sharing relevant industry news.

  • providing ongoing support and solutions on social media content to ensure objectives are not only being met, but exceeded.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • You are a jack of all trades: you find it hard to pick one thing that you love to do because your talents lend itself well to many different avenues and opportunities.

  • You find comfort and passion in writing, designing, and good branding. Prior copywriting and design experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, or Canva is a big asset.

  • You have a knack for grammar. Without having to Google it you know what the comma after the penultimate term in a series of three or more terms is called. You also found the grammatical error in the previous sentence and will tell us what it is in your cover letter.

  • You have prior experience in client success, customer service, hospitality, or any position where you frequently interact with clients.

  • You have a super strong customer-centric mindset; you love helping others and building genuine relationships.

  • You’re detail-oriented by nature; you don’t miss a beat when it comes to taking thorough notes.

  • You believe there is no such thing as over communicating.

  • You have a can-do attitude. When challenges arise or the learning curve is steep, you’re ready to pull up the sleeves and get to work to turn those challenges into opportunities.

  • You’re a collaborative colleague and a team player.

  • You may not be a social media expert now, but you’re a quick and eager learner.

  • French-speaking is a bonus.

  • You have a willingness to travel within the Greater Toronto Area and possibly other areas of Ontario, if required.

Details of this position:

  • We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace committed to building a team culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion. While our team is currently female-led, we invite all to apply for this position. If you are contacted for an interview and require accommodation during the interviewing process, please let us know.

  • Depending on the candidate and his/her/their preference, this can be a remote position or an in-person position in an office setting.

  • You must have access to a computer/laptop with a high-definition camera, microphone capabilities, video capabilities, high-speed internet access, and a smartphone.
